Gotcha By Your Blues is The Reggie Wayne Morris Blues Band's debut release. The 15-cut CD features 6 originals and opens with "No Gossip," a steady-movin', easy-goin' Morris tune that sets your foot tappin' while the lyrics linger. Selections include familiar songs by B.B. King, Lightnin' Hopkins, Slim Harpo, Sonny Thompson, Rufus Thomas, and The Rolling Stones, among others, plus a Reggae version of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower."

Appearing with Morris on Gotcha By Your Blues is Bassist Wade Matthews, a highly acclaimed musician both in the studio and on tour. When he isn't gigging with Morris, Matthews tours with Nils Lofgren and Sam Moore, of Sam and Dave fame, among others. Drummer Steve Loecher keeps the beat for Morris and Matthews with finesse and flair. Loecher and Matthews have played together for a number of years, completing the rhythm section for Jimmy Thackery and the Assassins.

Lawrence Hoffman, who produced Gotcha By Your Blues, was nominated for a Grammy in 1997 for his production of Mean Old World on MCA Records, a 4-CD compilation of blues Artists from 1940 to 1994 for the Smithsonian Institution. Gotcha was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Cue Recording Studios in Falls Church, Virginia, and published by Chicadawg Music. Chris Murphy engineered and Doug Johnston mastered Gotcha. Rob Thornett, graphic artist and web designer, designed the CD (as well as this website). Executive producer and manager Gina Davis brought Morris and Hoffman together for this production, adding a new dimension to primal blues.
